Dear English Center Students,
I’d like to introduce you to a great opportunity to enhance your language
skills in a practical way. It’s the AIIAS *Student Association (SA).*
They promote events and activities throughout the school year that the
English Center students are invited to participate in. Some of the
activities include field trips, parties, special dinners, water parks,
games, competitions, lectures, and prize giveaways, among others.
Unlike other programs, where SA registration is compulsory for the first
and second semesters, English Center students can choose to register *by
term (every two months).* The fee for each term is only *890 Pesos*, and it
entitles you to participate in all activities and events promoted by the SA
during that term.
If you don’t pay the fee but want to participate in the activities, you’ll
have to pay for each activity separately. For example, if you’re not
registered in the SA and want to get the Mini Olympics T-shirt, you’ll have
to pay for it. If you join the SA, the T-shirt is free. When the SA
promotes a day at a Water Park, for example, if you are not registered,
you’ll have to pay around 1,200 Pesos; if you paid the SA fee, you might go
for free or pay a discounted price.
For these and many other good reasons, I advise you to join the AIIAS
Student Association. To do so, please come to the English Center office and
provide your name to our secretary, Edna Barangan. We will then add the SA
fee to your student account.
