[English Center] Term B reminders

[English Center Director]

Happy new week, English Center family.
I pray that from this week on, we'll have uninterrupted classes and a
productive term.
Please keep in mind some important dates:

   - Oct 27, Chapel by School (L1 and L2 at the English Center)
   - Oct 31, holiday
   - Nov 10-14, midterm week (examinations, tests)
   - Nov 17-21, classes in the Graduate School building
   - Nov 24, Chapel by School (L3 and L4 at the English Center)
   - Dec 8, holiday
   - Dec 9-12, final examinations week
   - Dec 10, VEPT for L4
   - Dec 12, last day of term B (end-of-year/Christmas celebration, TBC)
   - Dec 15, English Center Steering Committee meeting
   - Dec 15 - Jan 4, term break (holiday season)
   - Jan 5, Placement test for new students and *registration day for all
   students*
   - Jan 6, *classes begin* (Second semester, Term A)

In addition to these reminders, please keep in mind that every Monday, from
11:00 am to 12:00 pm, as part of our school schedule, we hold classes
together with all AIIAS students and staff at the amphitheater. This
meeting is called Chapel, but please understand it as a regular class you
are required to attend; it is part of the English Center schedule and
curriculum. Teachers can even assign some homework based on this chapel
class. You can sit near your teacher in case you need to ask questions or
require clarification during the chapel class. We expect to see you there;
do not go away, as it is still class time.

Lastly, I'd like to inform you that I will not be in my office until next
term. Due to professional and personal reasons, I'm taking a Leave of
Absence in conjunction with my Annual Leave. However, don't worry;
everything has been arranged to ensure the smooth continuation of all
English Center activities.
If you need to discuss any important matter, you can approach your teacher
or our English Center secretary, Edna Barangan.
